Cookie policy

Effective date: October 31, 2026

This page explains what VRAMNeeded (vramneeded.com) stores in your browser and what happens when you follow outbound links.

First-party cookies

We do not set our own tracking or advertising cookies. There is no cookie banner that enables or disables ad cookies on this site, because those cookies are not used here.

Your light / dark theme choice is saved in the browser's localStorage under a theme key so the site remembers your preference on the next visit. That value stays on your device and is not sent to our servers as analytics.

If you install the site as a progressive web app, your browser may also keep a cache of pages for offline use. You can clear site data in your browser settings at any time.

Cloudflare and analytics

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may use cookies or similar technologies that are strictly necessary for security, load balancing, or network operation — controlled by Cloudflare, not by a marketing tag we paste in.

Cloudflare Web Analytics may measure visits. The standard Cloudflare Web Analytics beacon is designed to work without client-side cookies. Our site config leaves the build-time beacon token empty so we do not double-inject a second analytics script on top of Pages auto-inject.

We do not load Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or similar advertising trackers.

Affiliate and referral clicks

Some Disclosure links include referral parameters (for example ref= or ref_id=). Those are ordinary URL parameters on the destination site. When you click them, the GPU cloud or retailer may set their own cookies under their domain and privacy policy. That is outside vramneeded.com.

We do not rewrite other sites' cookies from our pages.

VRAMNeeded does not show a cookie consent pop-up. A banner that claimed to "opt you out" of trackers we do not run would be misleading. For California opt-out language about sale/sharing and affiliate attribution, use Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. Full practices: Privacy policy.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Because we set no tracking or advertising cookies, browser Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals do not change anything on this site. Partner sites decide for themselves how they honor those signals.

Changes

If we ever add a cookie, we will list it here and update the effective date.

Managing storage in your browser

You can clear cookies and site data for vramneeded.com (and for any partner site you visited) in your browser's privacy settings. Blocking third-party cookies in the browser will not break the VRAM calculator; it only affects sites you navigate to after leaving us.
